Advanced Open Water Certification

The better you are at Scuba Diving...the more you will enjoy it!

Have you completed your Open Water training and are looking for more adventure? The PADI Advanced Open Water course is a rewarding guide to many different types of diving. Whether you are an experienced diver or new to this great sport, this course will change the way you dive!
Typical class itinerary

    "PADI Advanced Class"

  • Watch the PADI Adventures in Diving DVD in the comfort of your own home or here at the shop.
  • Fill out the knowledge reviews in your PADI Adventures in Diving manual OR sign up for eLearning (see banner below)
  • Make an appointment to take the academic session(s) of the course.
  • Make an appointment to spend 1 weekend at an area lake (typically LakeTenkiller) to complete the training.

What will be taught?

  • The standard Bluewater Divers Advanced Open Water package includes dive #1 of 5 different PADI Specialties: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night Diver, Search and Recovery, Deep Diver and Underwater Navigator. Think of the class of a buffet of scuba diving. Take what you want and leave the rest!
  • Upon request and for an additional fee you may substitute up to 3 of the 5 dives (any but Deep or Navigation) for other PADI Specialties. See the PADI Specialty Diver Courses for a complete list of options.

What is needed to participate?

  • Proof of an Open Water or Jr. Open Water certification (or equivalent from another training agency).
  • A full set of scuba diving equipment in good working order (can be rented if needed).
  • A primary and backup light for the night dive as well as a compass.
  • Course fees are $175.00

What value does the PADI Advanced Open Water class have?

  • Most divers that hold the PADI AOW card will agree that their diving skills and confidence are higher than before.
  • Divers that present the PADI AOW card at dive facilities, resorts and Live-Aboards worldwide get more freedom.
  • During the PADI AOW class you complete dive #1 of 5 different specialties. You can go on to complete the remaining dives of just 1 or all 5 specialties to master the specific areas of training you desire.
  • This class counts towards your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating which is the ultimate non professional certification level in recreational diving!

What’s next?

The most traditional path is to take the PADI Rescue Diver course. You can take specialties on the side too!"scuba diving classes in OKC"
