How we train
You have choices when it comes to beginner Scuba lessons and we really encourage you to evaluate the resources a training center has before signing up. For those of you wanting the cheapest and quickest class in town, you are wasting your time reading any further because we are not the right shop for you. If you are not prepared to do what it takes to become a good diver, you will not have fun. Our approach to training is FUN, something you would look forward to opposed to something you would just “get done”. When you are new to a sport, you typically do not have much knowledge. You are impressionable and just want to have FUN with out getting ripped off. A visit to our store and introduction to some of our staff will quickly leave an impression that lives up to our reputation.
Your time & money is valuable so read on for a couple of minutes and you you will learn how to prevent easily avoidable regrets.
Here is a formula to use that can be applied to many situations in life: If you are not good at something (like Scuba Diving) you will not enjoy the activity. If you are not having FUN, you will find something other than Scuba Diving to do. Consider all of your time and money wasted.
How long are classes? Classes are performance based which means you learn at your pace. As soon as you complete module 1, you move on to module 2. If you have a challenge with a module, our Training Team can help you work through your challenges. Many customers participating in our classes to complete training in a standard time set described in our class information but we are well prepared to assist divers that need more practice. Most courses are accompanied by a PADI Divemaster that is present for no reason other than to help those that need some in-water tutoring.
What is included? We have worked hard to become the only local training center that offers an “all-inclusive” package. The advertised price for the full Open Water class includes everything you would need. There is no nickle & dimming such as forcing you to buy equipment, training materials, processing fees or rental gear.
When purchasing a new car, you don’t just say “how much is a car”, you say “I like that car…what does it come with”? You have to compare apples to apples.
